Serve with Passion

To serve — what does that truly mean?

In a world that often measures greatness by how much we achieve or how many serve us, Jesus flips that entirely. He reminds us, “The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.” (Matthew 20:28)

To serve is not simply to do. It’s to love in action. It’s to pour out what’s been poured into us. And to serve with passion—that’s to serve with fire. With heart. With gratitude.

Passion is a gift. It’s the unique energy God places within you — the spark that makes your eyes light up and your heart race. Passion is not random. It’s divine.

You were created with that very passion for a reason — not to keep it hidden or use it for self-gain, but to use it for His Kingdom.

So, what are you passionate about? What is that one thing that stirs your soul, that you could talk about endlessly, that makes you feel alive?

Now, imagine offering that passion back to God. Imagine using that gift, whatever it is — music, business, leadership, creativity, compassion, teaching, craftsmanship — not for your own glory, but for His. That’s what it means to serve with passion.

Because Jesus was passionate about you. So passionate that He surrendered everything — His comfort, His safety, His very life — out of love. “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” (John 15:13)

How can we possibly repay Him? We can’t. But we can respond.

We can show Him our gratitude not through words alone, but through lives poured out in love. Through how we live. How we love. How we serve. Not selfishly, but selflessly. Not to be served, but to serve.

Let your passion become your offering. Let your service become your song of thanksgiving.

For every act of service, done with love, echoes the heart of Christ — the ultimate servant who showed us what passion truly looks like.
